Logan will celebrate a half century at being the best there is at what he does in 2024, and as part of the year-long celebrations Marvel has announced that legendary X-Men writer Chris Claremont is teaming with artist Edgar Salazar for Wolverine: Madripoor Knights, a five-issue limited series sequel to Claremont and Jim Lee’s Uncanny X-Men #268.
Madripoor Knights will serve as a follow-up to the original tale, which detailed Wolverine’s first meeting with Captain America during World War II as the pair rescued a young Natasha Romanoff. Picking up where the classic issue left off, the new series will see Cap joining Wolverine and Black Widow on the streets of Madripoor as they look to hunt down a planet-threatening weapon.
“Hard to believe, Bub, I’ve known Logan for 50 years!” said Claremont. “And Natasha was in the first Marvel story I ever wrote. This trip back to Madripoor reveals hidden truths about two of my favorite characters on the adventure that shaped their lives.”
CLAREMONT, CAP, WIDOW, and WOLVERINE—TOGETHER AGAIN! When a secret weapon brings Captain America to Madripoor, the trio team-up you’ve been waiting decades for will finally come to pass as the mission brings Logan and Black Widow into a race against time, against a multitude of foes, including the Hand! You’ve been waiting for this one…and you’ll never guess where it goes!
