Marvel star Chris Hemsworth has become the latest A-lister to make his way to Netflix, with Deadline reporting that he’s set to headline Dhaka, a kidnap extraction drama which will mark the feature directorial debut of Sam Hargrave, a second unit director and stunt coordinator on Avengers: Infinity War.
The film will see Hemsworth playing a physically brave but emotionally cowardly man has to come to terms with his identity and sense of self when he is tasked with liberating a kidnapped Indian boy who is being held in Dhaka.
Dhaka is being produced by AGBO, the new studio founded by Avengers: Infinity War directors Anthony and Joe Russo, who will reunite with Hemsworth on next year’s Avengers 4. Joe Russo has also penned the script for the film.
