Steve Trevor was presumed dead in last year’s Wonder Woman movie, having heroically sacrificed himself in order to prevent Ludendorff’s poison gas from being unleashed on London. It’s unclear how he survived the plane explosion, and why he doesn’t look 70 years older than when we last saw him. Perhaps he’s been frozen in ice all this time. Wonder Woman 1984 is set for release on November 1st 2019 and will see Gal Gadot once again leading the cast as Diana Prince alongside the returning Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), Ewen Bremner (Charlie), Said Taghmaoui (Sameer), Connie Nielsen (Queen Hippolyta), Lisa Loven Kongsli (Menalippe), Doutzen Kroes (Venelia) and new additions Kristen Wiig (Ghostbusters) as Barbara Ann Minerva/Cheetah and Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) in an as-yet-unrevealed role.
