Christoph Waltz is a sociopathic new boss in trailer for Amazon’s The Consultant

February 7, 2023 by Matt Rodgers

Christoph Waltz appears to be on scenery-chewing form in the official trailer for Amazon Prime Video’s workplace drama The Consultant.

In a role that seems perfectly suited to the actors uniquely unnerving style of intimidation, Waltz plays Regus Patoff, a sinister consultant who is hired by a gaming company to improve the business and its employees through unorthodox methods.

Based on Bentley Little’s 2015 novel of the same name, The Consultant also stars Nat Wolff (Death Note), Brittany O’Grady (The White Lotus), and Aimee Carrero (The Menu). The pilot episode has been directed by WandaVision and Fantastic Four‘s Matt Shakman, and you can check out the trailer below…

When a new consultant, Regus Patoff (Christoph Waltz), is hired to improve the business at the App-based gaming company CompWare, employees experience new demands and challenges that put everything into question … including their lives.

The Consultant arrives on Prime Video on February 24th.
