As production continues on the hotly-anticipated third season of The Mandalorian, THR is reporting that Christopher Lloyd has joined the cast of the live-action Star Wars series in an as-yet-unrevealed role.
Lloyd, who is best known for his role as Doc Brown in Back to the Future and was most recently seen in George Clooney’s The Tender Bar, is said to be making a guest appearance, rather than a recurring or regular role. It will mark the veteran actor’s first foray to the galaxy far, far away.
So far, we’ve had little in the way of official information on The Mandalorian season 3, with only Pedro Pascal (Din Djarin), Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon) and Carl Weathers (Greef Karga) confirmed to return. Filming is scheduled to wrap up this month, so hopefully we’ll get some news and word on a premiere date soon.
