He’s certainly no stranger to huge budgets, but it seems that Christopher Nolan will be working with the second-biggest of his career with his next film Tenet.
According to reports, the action thriller has a production budget of $225 million, second only to the $250 million-budgeted The Dark Knight Rises in terms of Nolan’s most expensive movies.
Nolan’s most recent project, the World War II epic Dunkirk, came in at $100 million, which was relatively cheap compared to the likes of The Dark Knight ($185 million), Interstellar ($165 million) and Inception ($160 million).
As expected with a Nolan project, plot details for Tenet are being kept tightly under wraps, but we do know that the film revolves around the world of international espionage, and features a cast that includes John David Washington (BlacKkKlansman), Robert Pattinson (High Life), Elizabeth Debicki (Widows), Michael Caine (The Dark Knight Trilogy), Kenneth Branagh (Dunkirk), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Nocturnal Animals), Dimple Kapadia (Leela) and Clemence Poesy (In Bruges).
Tenet is set to open on July 17th 2020.
