With its season premiere just a month away, HBO has debuted a new trailer for House of the Dragon, the first in a planned series of spinoffs from the hugely success (until the last two seasons) fantasy series Game of Thrones prequel.
Set 200 years prior to GoT, the new series will tell the story of the ‘Dance of the Dragons’, a civil war which marked the beginning of the end of House Targaryen. Watch the trailer below…
House of the Dragon features a cast that includes Paddy Considine (The Outsider), Matt Smith (Doctor Who), Olivia Cooke (Ready Player One), Emma D’Arcy (Truth Seekers), Rhys Ifans (The Amazing Spider-Man), Steve Toussaint (Small Axe), Sonoya Minuzo (Crazy Rich Asians), Eve Best (Nurse Jackie), and Graham McTavish (Outlander).

Based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” the series, which is set 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones,” tells the story of House Targaryen.
House of the Dragon will premiere on HBO on August 21st in the US, and on Sky Atlantic and NOW on August 22nd in the UK.
