Co-op stealth game Hacktag arrives on Steam this Valentine’s Day

February 1, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Indie game developer Piece of Cake Studios have announced that their award winning co-op stealth game, Hacktag, will leave Steam Early Access and arrive on Steam for PC and Mac on the 14th February.  This isometric title will see players pair up with their friends (or go solo) to infiltrate corporations and steal their data.

Hacktag is set in 2029 within an alternate universe where anthropomorphic animals dominate the world.  The world is similar to our own where information is valuable and hackers are hired to gain access to this data.  In this co-op stealth title players take on the roles of a field agent and a hacker and are hired by huge competing corporations to steal information off each other.  The Field Agent will need to move physically through the buildings avoiding guards whilst the Hacker will travel through the security system avoiding anti-virus software.

Not only will players be able to work together in local or online co-op mode but also in a solo mode that will allow players to switch between the two roles.

“We’ve been working night and day to get Hacktag ready to bring co-op stealth to PC players who like to play together,” said Marine Lemaitre Freland, Co-Founder and CEO of Piece of Cake Studios. “Feedback from our community has been tremendous and we’ve added new modes and features to make the game even more fun while keeping its subversive nature front and center.”

Hacktag will see a full release on Steam on 14th February with a generous 25% discount available on the launch date.
