The Tracking Board is reporting that up-and-coming filmmaker Emily Carmichael has enlisted Jurassic World helmer Colin Trevorrow to serve as producer on her upcoming film Eon.
According to the site, Eon “follows a thief-for-hire who is sent on an assignment to steal an unknown package from a laboratory, only to have a crisis of conscience when he discovers upon arrival that the package is actually a superhuman little girl.” One of the characters, Stryka, was the subject of Carmichael’s 2015 short.
Trevorrow has previously recommended Carmichael to Steven Spielberg as writer-director for Amblin Entertainment’s Powerhouse. Carmichael also recently contributed to the script for Pacific Rim: Maelstrom, and is also attached to an adaptation of Boom! Studios’ Lumberjanes. Trevorrow meanwhile has The Book of Henry incoming and is producing the as-yet-untitled Jurassic World sequel, as well as writing and directing 2019’s Star Wars: Episode IX.
Thanks to Hailey Ames for the heads up.
