One of the most versatile actors working is heading to another franchise.
Fresh off an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in Rustin, Colman Domingo is rumored to be circling Gareth Edwards’ upcoming Jurassic World movie.
Scarlett Johansson is already in talks to join the film, and now industry scooper Daniel Richtman has added Domingo’s name to the list. The rumor mill is also swirling around Dev Patel’s name for a role in the film.
While there’s no news on the story, the report has Colman Domingo looking to play the villain in Edwards’ new film.
If you’re unfamiliar with him, Domingo is best known for his scene-stealing work in HBO’s Euphoria, Zola, The Color Purple, and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
Universal is looking to kickstart production with a July 2024 date planned to make a July 2, 2025 release. The new movie is reportedly a fresh take on the JP IP. The franchise’s original Jurassic Park screenwriter, David Koepp, is returning.
