The epic conclusion to the blockbuster event of 2017! Will it be a new dawn for the Green Lantern Corps in the Star Trek universe… or will Sinestro and Khan succeed in conquering the new timeline for themselves?

And so, we come to a close of Star Trek / Green Lantern: Stranger Worlds. Over the past six months Mike Johnson has led this IDW/DC crossover towards a final climatic battle between Khan bearing the red ring of rage and Sinestro now wearing a fully recharged yellow ring. The Planet Oa and “The Guardians” – its citizens – have no idea of what is going to happen to their world.
With Kirk being chosen as a Green ring-bearer the fight between all sides becomes both brutal and chaotic as Sinestro – along with Khan – goads Kirk and his control over his new-found powers. However, this battle soon becomes not so ‘one-sided’ as the other members of the Green Lantern Corps seize the chance to recharge their rings when those who want to bring nothing but pain and misery are distracted by punishing the Captain of the Enterprise.
Above Planet Oa all is not going too well however for the Enterprise, as a fleet of Klingon ships are battering down on this lonely Federation ship.
As expected the close of the Star Trek / Green Lantern: Stranger Worlds series is brutal – people are left battered and bruised, Augments are grappling with Green Lanterns, Kirk is being throttled by Sinestro, ships are left floating in orbit and people are leaving the Enterprise. A lot is going on here and when you finish this final issue you’ll find yourself going back in to read it again to properly absorb the absolutely fantastic art and colours from Angel Hernandez and Mark Roberts.
Like the Spectrum War, Mike Johnson has scored another win here with this second Star Trek / Green Lantern crossover. This is one of the most impressive Star Trek crossovers ever, and if you’ve missed any of these along the way over these past six months make sure you pick up the trade paperback upon its release.
Before I close both additional covers need a word or two of praise. The fantastic ‘Retailer Incentive’ from Elizabeth Beals and the truly excellent ‘Subscription Cover’ from George Caltsoudas are just brilliant, try to seek those out if you can.
