Concept art for Sabrina the Teenage Witch reboot The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

December 23, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Back in September it was announced that Archie Comics would be following up its hit Riverdale series with a new Sabrina the Teenage Witch series, which has since been picked up by the streaming service Netflix with a two-season order.

The new show will be based upon the critically acclaimed comic series The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and now executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has conjured up the very first piece of concept art for the series; check it out here…

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will reimagine the occult origins of Sabrina and is described as a “dark coming-of-age story which deals with horror, the occult, and witchcraft and will see Sabrina struggle to reconcile her dual nature of being half-witch and half-mortal while protecting her family and the world from the forces of evil.”

Originally, it had been suggested that Sabrina could make her debut in Riverdale, although that was when The CW was circling The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, so with it now moving to Netflix it is unclear whether that remains an option or if the two series will be entirely separate.
