At the Golden Globes, MGM CEO Gary Barber told Variety that his goal was to launch the inevitable Creed sequel in November of 2017.
Domestically Creed is a success, having made over $100 million at the box office alongside receiving rave reviews (you can read our reviews here and here). Sylvester Stallone also won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in the film reprising his beloved role of Rocky Balboa.
Last week, Stallone spilled the beans on what we could expect from the sequel and even teased an appereance from Carl Weathers as Donny’s father, Apollo.

Creed is currently playing in theaters in the States and will be released on January 16th in the UK, with a cast includes Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad and Tony Bellew.
