PlayStation and Square Enix announced Final Fantasy VII fans have something to look forward to this year as they are developing the remaster Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII: Reunion for the current console generation. Watch the announcement trailer below…
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII was released for PSP in 2007 as a prequel to the classic and ground-breaking Final Fantasy VII. It followed Zack Fair, a young member of the military unit SOLDIER and his connections to Cloud and Sephiroth as it led up to the beginning of Final Fantasy VII.
The announcement was made during Square Enix’s 25th anniversary celebration for Final Fantasy VII where they also announced the second part to their remake trilogy, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Of Crisis Core, Square said Reunion won’t simply be a remaster, but is adding new features to the game. Not only will it have updated graphic, but a full voice cast, improved camera control, new environments to explore and an updated interface.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII: Reunion will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch this winter.
