SEGA has announced the release of the remake of the cult classic Yakuza Kiwami on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC today. This remake will allow players to see where the legendary Yakuza series began all the way back in 2005. A brand new launch trailer can be seen below….
Yakuza Kiwami is a remake of 2005’s Yakuza and puts players in the shoes of Kazuma Kiryu, a former Yakuza member released from prison following a ten year stint for the murder of a crime boss. After spending so long inside he quickly finds out that the world is a very different place to the one he left. Having been expelled from the Yakuza, Kiryu meets a mysterious girl named Haruka, who may be able to provide the answers he seeks.

- Four distinct fighting styles to master in order to take down rival Yakuza members, alternatively just grab whatever is lying on the street whether it is a traffic cone or even a bike.
- Be on your toes and be ready for combat anywhere thanks to the ‘Majima Everywhere’ system, where players can encounter fan-favorite character Goro Majima anywhere and everywhere.
- There’s more to do than just the main storyline, there’s over 70 substories to complete including karaoke, Pocket Circuit races or MesuKing: Battle Bug Beauties card collecting.
Yakuza Kiwami is available now on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. Xbox Games Pass subscribers can play the game now.
