After a five-year absence, Larry David is set to return to HBO for a ninth season of the award-winning comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm.
“We’re thrilled that Larry has decided to do a new season of Curb and can’t wait to see what he has planned,” said HBO president of programming Casey Bloys as part of the official announcement.
On he decisision to return for another series, David said: “In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned.”
Created by David, who also stars as a fictionalised version of himself, Curb Your Enthusiasm spun out of the 1999 special Larry David: Curb Your Enthusiasm and ran for 80 episodes across eight seasons, with the last episode airing in 2011.
