Damon Lindelof to Rewrite World War Z

June 9, 2012 by admin

Marc Forster’s (Quantum of Solace) film adaptation of Max Brooks’ cult 2006 novel, World War Z, seems to be in a bit of a pickle. Last month it was announced the film would need extensive reshooting, and now The Hollywood Reporter has broken that Damon Lindelof has been brought in to rewrite the film’s final third.

Yeah, Damon Lindelof – writer of television series Lost and Prometheus. Because he’s really good at concluding stories. Cough.

World War Z is currently scheduled for UK release on 21st June 2013, but expect that date to be pushed back. It stars Brad Pitt and Matthew Fox (making for a kinda Lost reunion with Lindelof).
