It is no real surprise to anyone following Daniel Radcliffe’s post-Wizarding World that the actor has no interest in more Harry Potter. But the actor confirms such in a recent interview where he talks about the future of the Wizarding World and how he wants to not even appear as an “old Harry cameo.”
While promoting his comedy series Miracle Workers: End Times, Radcliffe tells ComicBook that he has no interest in returning to the franchise and looks forward to them moving past just his work.
“My understanding is that they’re trying to very much start fresh, and I’m sure whoever is making them will want to make their own mark on it and probably not want to have to figure out how to get old Harry to cameo in this somewhere,” the actor stated. “I’m definitely not seeking it out in any way. But I do wish them, obviously, all the luck in the world, and I’m very excited to have that torch passed. But I don’t think it needs me to physically pass it.”
Radcliffe is appearing in the third season of Miracle Workers titled End Times. His last film role was in 2022’s Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, starring as the titular comedy musician.
Harry Potter is looking to reboot as a decade-long TV series with controversial author and executive producer J.K. Rowling attached.
