Danny DeVito knows the world wants more of him, and he’s open to revisiting some of his past works, but it seems like his partners aren’t. In a recent interview, DeVito spoke about wanting to do a follow-up to Twins and Throw Momma From the Train but couldn’t get the respective co-stars to get on the same page.
Speaking to GQ, the actor jokes, “Arnold Schwarzenegger and I want to work together. We missed Twins 2 because he became governor — which, he should have done Twins 2 instead of becoming governor.”
“Now we have a little thing going, a little project that we’ve been chatting about,” he adds – but Twins fans, don’t hold your breath; the plans reportedly have nothing to do with Twins. “No, it’s just two friends, two guys, because we have a good time together,” DeVito said. “We complement each other in a lot of ways. I am way stronger than he is.”
As for another long-awaited sequel, DeVito reveals he and Billy Crystal have often planned a sequel to their 1987 comedy, Throw Momma From the Train. The film would be called Throw Papa From the Train. While there’s nothing in the works, DeVito tells GQ that he and Crystal still “want to work together again.”
