Before we were inundated with trailers and footage from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we were given a couple of trailers and teases for the Marvel Netflix Universe – including the team-up The Defenders. We were told that Daredevil would be getting a third season, and that will join the second season of Jessica Jones and the spin-off show The Punisher.
While no dates were announced, it has been revealed that those new shows won’t air before The Defenders team-up show. So don’t expect to see solo series for Daredevil, The Punisher or Jessica Jones before 2018. Natalie Abrams of Entertainment Weekly was in attendance of Netflix’s TCA press tour and said:
Marvel/Netflix sked: Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Defenders THEN 2nd and 3rd seasons of the other shows and Punisher.

It is said that the second season of Jessica Jones will film back-t0-back with The Defenders, while The Punisher should start shooting shortly thereafter. No production date is in place for Daredevil.
The Defenders will assemble on Netflix in 2017, bringing together Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones, Mike Colter’s Luke Cage and Finn Jones’ Iron Fist.
