After his hugely entertaining, and somewhat surprising turn in Guardians of the Galaxy, star man Dave Bautista could now be more involved in more Marvel films than just the upcoming Guardians sequel.
PWMania has posted up a piece about Bautista’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, saying Marvel Studios is “currently restructuring his contract that will likely see him get more money due to the success of Guardians of the Galaxy. This will also lock Bautista in for a number of other Marvel movies. Bautista is slated for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 as well as the 3rd Avengers movie, where he will have a significant role. That movie will be a few years down the road.”
It certainly sounds like Bautista may be a big key in the future of the Marvel’s Phase Three, but most of the news here should be taken with a grain of salt. While it is certain he will reappear with Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper for the sequel, whether he or the other Guardians cast team with the Avengers in the third film remains to be seen.
Guardians of the Galaxy is still showing at cinemas nationwide, while Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is set for release in 2017.
