There is a rich history of musicians making movies, with everyone from The Beatles to Tenacious D attempting to crack the big screen, usually with a blend of the serious and self deprecation, and that appears to be the approach taken by Dave Grohl and his Foo Fighters bandmates, who used their lockdown downtime to create their own horror-comedy Studio 666.
Telling the story of the bands attempts to record their 10th album just as their iconic leading man suffers from creative block that starts to make him go “One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest crazy”, and starring Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett & Rami Jaffee as themselves, Open Road have just dropped the the full first trailer, which you can check out below…
In STUDIO 666, the legendary rock band Foo Fighters move into an Encino mansion steeped in grisly rock and roll history to record their much anticipated 10th album. Once in the house, Dave Grohl finds himself grappling with supernatural forces that threaten both the completion of the album and the lives of the band.
Studio 666 will be released on February 25th.
