Despite being mauled by critics, Warner Bros.’ Suicide Squad has proven to be a solid hit at the box office, with director David Ayer taking to Twitter to thank the fans for helping the movie hit the $600 million mark worldwide…

Ayer may have jumped the gun slightly, as Box Office Mojo only has the film grossing $582 million by close of play on Wednesday. Nevertheless, it looks likely that the DC supervillain team-up will cross $600 million globally this weekend, although it is expected to fall from top spot at the U.S. box office after three weeks at number one.

It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity.
