David Cronenberg’s Consumed heading to the small screen

Deadline is reporting that AMC is developing a small screen adaptation of David Cronenberg’s psychological thriller novel Consumed with Dave Erickson (Fear the Walking Dead) and Sheri Elwood (Lucifer).

Published in 2014, Consumed follows two journalists who set out to solve the cannibalistic murder of a controversial Parisian philosopher.

Both Erickson and Elwood are set to executive produce the series along with Cronenberg and his frequent collaborator Robert Lantos, while Cronenberg himself may also direct.
