Here is a horror pairing to get you shuffling along to the cinema. Late Night with the Devil star David Dastmalchian is teaming up with The Haunting of Hill House‘s Kate Siegel for Epilogue, a family drama set against the backdrop of a zombie apocalypse.
According to Deadline the film is set one year after the zombie apocalypse has supposedly come to an end, and follows a desperate couple (Dastmalchian and Siegel) who set out to find a cure for their infected daughter.
Michael Fimognari, who directed Siegel in Netflix’s The Fall of the House of Usher, will helm the film, working from a script by Luke Barnett and Tanner Thomason. Terrifier 3‘s The Coven will be handling distribution of the movie.
Epilogue will be a quick reunion for Dastmalchian and Siegel, who worked together on Mike Flanagan’s Stephen King adaptation The Life of Chuck, which won the Toronto International Film Festival People’s Choice Award earlier this year. Individually, Dastmalchian is coming off the back of starring in Late Night with the Devil, IFC’s most successful release-to-date with $15 million at the box-office, while Siegel recently made her directorial debut with a section in horror-anthology series V/H/S Beyond.
