After the big announcement this week that Indiana Jones will be returning in a fifth movie, we have more news on the project today as Disney has announced the screenwriter to take charge of the newest entry in the franchise.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, regular Steven Spielberg collaborator David Koepp has been tapped to write the new film, after previously co-writing Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. He has also worked with the director on Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and War of the Worlds.
More recently, Koepp has worked on Inferno, the latest Dan Brown adaptation due for release this summer starring Tom Hanks and directed by Ron Howard, as well as Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit and 2012’s Premium Rush, which he also directed.
Harrison Ford returns as Indiana Jones on July 19th, 2019.
