Back in April it was announced that Universal Pictures and Amasia Entertainment are working on the feature film reboot The Green Hornet and Kato, and now comes word that the studio has enlisted screenwriting heavyweight David Koepp to script the masked crimefighters’ latest big screen adventure.
Koepp has a wealth of experience in the blockbuster and franchise arenas, his credits including the likes of Jurassic Park, Mission: Impossible, Spider-Man, War of the Worlds, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Angels & Demons.

The Green Hornet follows newspaper publisher Britt Reid, who moonlights as crime-fighter with his trusty sidekick Kato and supercar The Black Beauty. The character first emerged on radio in the 1930s, before branching out into film serials, comic books, a 1966 TV series starring Van Williams and Bruce Lee, and a 2011 feature film starring Seth Rogen and Jay Chou.
