DC Entertainment has announced that it is launching its very own digital service in 2018 and that it will include a live-action Teen Titans series.
Variety reports that the service is being set up with Warner Bros. Television and that the platform will provide an “an immersive experience designed just for DC fans.”
And the green light for Titans isn’t the only good news for fans, as DC has announced that the digital service will also play host to the third season of Young Justice which aired its first two seasons on Cartoon Network.
Variety states that, “The live-action Titans series follows a group of young soon-to-be super heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. The action-packed series revolves around Dick Grayson who emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others.”
Titans will be written by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns and Greg Berlanti. The project had previously been in development at TNT, although the network pulled the plug back in January 2016.
In the third season of Young Justice “the team faces its greatest challenge yet as it takes on meta-human trafficking and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy.”
