Having been officially announced back at the start of May, it seems we don’t have much longer to wait until the arrival of DC Universe, the new dedicated DC streaming service, with DC Entertainment Community Manager Dani Snow revealing on the James Bonding podcast that she expects it to launch in August.
“We are about to launch, I think late August, our DC Digital platform, which will be a hub for all things DC,” said Snow. “There will be digital movies, TV shows that you can watch, streaming. We’re gonna have a lot of comics on there. There’s gonna be a lot of good stuff on there.”
As we know, the platform is set to include Young Justice: Outsiders and Harley Quinn animated series, along with the live-action shows Titans, Doom Patrol and Swamp Thing.
Presumably only Young Justice: Outsiders and Titans have any chance of being available for an August launch, but DC does of course have a wealth of existing content that could potentially feature as part of the catalogue until those shows are ready to land.
