DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 Episode 11 Review – ‘Here I Go Again’

February 20, 2018 by Jessie Robertson

Jessie Robertson reviews the eleventh episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 3…

Welcome to Legends’ version of “Groundhog Day”, or “Hedgehog Day” as Zari puts it. As Zari is working on the ship, a glitch occurs with Gideon which throws her whole day into an infinite loop. So, Zari learns secrets about her crewmates, tries on their outfits and learns violin. Huh?

As the crew just gets back from stopping Napoleon in the disco era (which looks like an amazing episode in its own right) Zari tries to explain what’s going on; the whole episode is a bit of a dissection on how Zari actually fits within the framework of the show, which quite frankly, isn’t well. Besides being a cultural and ethnic significance, she hasn’t brought much more to the table. Ray likes her, but Ray likes everyone. Nate seems annoyed by her, but he has to be nice because he’s doing Amaya (which was played up like a secret, but it has seemed obvious they are back together). Sara has made her disdain obvious to Zari, but once Zari makes her reveals open at the end, Sara does listen to her. BTW, Sara liking Agent Sharp, pretty obvious as well.

I’ve just input the photo that made me laugh the most; because of course Rory is writing a sci-fi romance novel!

But let’s discuss basically the loop inside the loop; so once Zari gets her “investigation” out of her system of trying to find the culprit on the Waverider, it’s revealed the whole issue with the ship was Gideon; she did it! And we get her in her physical form yet again which are always welcome cameos. It looks like she did it merely to bring Zari closer to her teammates and bring down her sarcastic side a bit. and while a lot of this feels like “Yeah, we kinda knew that already” her revelations does pull her closer to everyone on ship. Again, this episode depends on the strength of the main character, Zari, whom I just find a bit offputting, honestly. That’s the only reason this episode was dragged down a bit for me.

Rating: 8/10
