Last week Deadpool claimed the record as the biggest R-rated movie of all time, and now the Ryan Reynolds-headlined film has reached another milestone, overtaking X-Men: Days of Future past to become the highest-grossing instalment of 20th Century Fox’s X-Men franchise.
Deadpool has pushed its worldwide total to $749.9 million this weekend, surpassing the $747.9 million that Bryan Singer’s Days of Future Past earned back in 2014. That also makes it the eleventh-biggest superhero movie in history behind The Amazing Spider-Man, which sits on $757.9 million.
