Development resumes on Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season

November 22, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Here’s some good news for fans of The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series, as Skybound Entertainment has announced that it development has resumed on the remaining episodes of The Walking Dead: The Final Season.

“Thank you for your patience while we worked with Telltale to take control of Telltale’s The Walking Dead. Its been a ton of work logistically and legally to get us to a place where we’re able to roll up our sleeves and get to the actual work. Soon, we will be announcing release dates for the two remaining episodes. It’s likely that previous seasons of the game may be unavailable to purchase for a few days as we transition—but don’t panic!—we’ll have everything back online ASAP.”

Many of the game’s original development team will be returning for the new episodes, having been let go by Telltale back in September when the company laid off the majority of its workforce and suspended work on all of its titles.

However, during the New York Comic Con last month, TWD creator Robert Kirkman revealed that his Skybound Entertainment company had reached a deal with Telltale, which would allow them to complete Clementine’s story with a final two episodes.
