In a recent interview with Vulture, director Quentin Tarantino (Django Unchained) spoke on numerous topics, including everything from his previous films to his favorite TV shows, but he also both complimented and criticized It Follows, one of 2015’s best-reviewed horror films. On Wednesday, however, It Follows writer/director David Robert Mitchell responded to Tarantino’s thoughts on the film.
To start off, Tarantino admitted in the interview that he hasn’t seen too many films this year, but said how he “really liked” It Follows. When asked further about the film, Tarantino responded, “It was the best premise I’ve seen in a horror film in a long, long, long time. It’s one of those movies that’s so good you get mad at it for not being great.” He continued, “He could have kept his mythology straight. He broke his mythology left, right, and center.”
Tarantino’s comments must have gotten to Mitchell, as he tweeted out the following only a few days after the interview…

During the interview, in which Tarantino talked about his upcoming film The Hateful Eight, he also took shots at Cate Blanchett, True Detective, Philomena and other films as well.
