As originally reported a couple of months ago, it looks like Tower of Terror is following in the footsteps of Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion and Tomorrowland, with Deadline revealing that the Disney theme park attraction is heading to the big screen.
The site reports that Big Fish scribe John August is set to produce the film alongside Jim Whitaker, having developed a concept that will “center around five people who disappear in a fancy hotel elevator after the building is struck by lighting.”
This won’t be the first time that Tower of Terror has been adapted for the screen, with Disney releasing a TV movie of the ride back in 1997.
