While North American viewers enjoy the vast library of content on the Disney+ streaming service, people in the UK, Ireland and other Western European countries are still waiting for the launch of the brand-new service. However, the good news is Disney has brought forward the release date forward to 24th March.
With the roll-out of Disney+ originally set for 31st March, the service will now be available a week earlier in the U.K., Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Switzerland. The streaming service will launch in other Western Europe markets, including Belgium, the Nordics, and Portugal in summer 2020.
In addition to the release date moving forward, pricing has also been confirmed at £5.99/€6.99 per month or £59.99/€69.99 for an annual subscription.
The service launched with titles from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and other iconic brands. It also includes original content such as the hit Star Wars series The Mandalorian, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, The World According to Jeff Goldblum, and the live-action film Lady and the Tramp.
