Disney’s Descendants: The Rise of Red drops new teaser trailer

April 2, 2024 by Amie Cranswick

Disney has released a poster and trailer for the next instalment in the hit fantasy musical franchise Descendants: The Rise of Red, which introduces us to Auradon Prep’s newest student, the rebellious daughter of Wonderland’s Queen of Hearts, Red; check them out here…

Former Villain Kid Uma, now headmaster of Auradon Prep, extends an invite to the school to another VK – Red, the rebellious daughter of the Queen of Hearts from Wonderland. After the Queen of Hearts incites a coup against Auradon, Red must team up with Cinderella’s perfectionist daughter Chloe and travel back in time to try to undo the traumatic event that set Red’s mother down her villainous path.

The Disney+ movie sees China Anne McClain and Melanie Paxson both reprising their roles as Uma and the Fairy Godmother, while new additions to the Descendants franchise include Kylie Cantrall as Red, Rita Ora as The Queen of Hearts, Brandy as Cinderella, Malia Baker as Chloe, Dara Reneé as Uliana, Morgan Dudley as Ella/Young Cinderella, Jeremy Swift as Principal Merlin, Paolo Montalban as King Charming, and Leonardo Nam as Maddox Hatter.

Descendants: The Rise of Red arrives on Disney+ on July 12th.
