Disenchanted sees Amy Adams and Dempsey reprising their roles from Enchanted as Giselle and Robert Philip respectively alongside James Marsden as Prince Edward and Idina Menzel as Nancy Tremaine. Joining the sequel is Maya Rudolph (Bridesmaids) as the villain Malvina Monroe, Yvette Nicole Brown (Community), Jayma Mays (Glee), Kolton Stewart (My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2), Oscar Nunez (The Office) and Gabriella Baldacchino.
Taking place 15 years after Enchanted, which found fairy-tale princess Giselle banished from her kingdom of Andalasia to Manhattan, Disenchanted returns us to the world of Giselle (Amy Adams) and her pragmatic divorce lawyer husband, Robert (Patrick Dempsey). Patrick’s daughter, Morgan, is now a teenager. As Giselle and family relocate to the suburb of Monroeville, she must face the challenges of a new home and re-discover the true meaning of happily ever after.
Disenchanted will be debuting exclusively on the Disney+ streaming service in 2022, though no specific release date has been announced as of yet. However, with filming now wrapped, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Disney releases an official trailer in the near future.
