Back in August it was reported that Rocky and The Expendables co-stars Dolph Lundgren and Sylvester Stallone were teaming up for the action drama series The International, and now comes word from Deadline that the project has found a home at CBS.
The International is being directed and executive produced by Stallone, with Lundgren taking on the lead role of Anders Soto, “a one-man covert black-ops team working for the U.N. who is called in to find asymmetrical solutions to the world’s most delicate and complex problems.”
CBS fought off competition from other networks and streaming services to nab the pilot, which has been scripted by Ken Sanzel (Numbers), who will serve as showrunner should The International make it to series.

Action legends Lundgren and Stallone last teamed up on the Rocky spinoff sequel Creed II, and will presumably reunite for The Expendables 4, should the sequel come together.
