The Disney Channel’s rebooted DuckTales is adding some star power for its season finale this August, with Don Cheadle set to make a guest appearance, lending his voice to the legendary Donald Duck.
The Avengers: Infinity War star is set to portray the “intelligible voice” of Donald, as a result of an inventive voicebox, in the one-hour finale entitled ‘The Shadow War’. In the episode Magica De Spell is close to exacting revenge on Scrooge, so the family races against time to plan a dangerous rescue mission to save Scrooge and the city.
“It’s an awesome opportunity because there are only so many roles that you look forward to playing as an actor,” said Cheadle. “You’ve got to do your homework and bring your a-game when you’re trying to voice Donald Duck.”
The season finale of DuckTales will air on Saturday, August 18th, and also features guest stars Lin Manuel-Miranda (Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera), Catherine Tate (Magica De Spell) and Kimiko Glenn (Lena). The regular cast includes David Tennant (Scrooge McDuck), Danny Pudi (Huey), Ben Schwartz (Dewey), Bobby Moynihan (Louie), Kate Micucci (Webby Vanderquack), Beck Bennett (Launchpad McQuack) and Toks Olagundoye (Mrs. Beakley).
