Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 gets a new free update

October 12, 2023 by Andrew Newton

Bandai Namco Europe has released a new free update for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 bringing new content, including costumes and accessories, a new mode and the new Festival of Universes in-game event.  Two trailers for the new mode and event can be seen below…

Cross Versus is a brand-new mode for players to take part in and pits two teams of three against each other. If a team wants to be victorious they will need to work together as a team and not enter thinking they can do it solo. In the first phase of the fight, the teams are in separate arenas where they will have to acquire as much power as they’re able to. Once they reach a certain threshold they will then gain entry to the Boss Area and get the opportunity to defeat the boss.  To win, teams will have to either collect all the mission points or defeat their boss before the opposing team can defeat theirs.

The Festival of Universes is a new, albeit temporary, in-game event that will give players the opportunity for plenty of rewards.  Players will choose their faction and earn points that will both help them climb an individual leaderboard and help their faction win. Points can be earned by playing the game as normal but some modes will occasionally give bonus rewards.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s new update is live now.
