Drug-fuelled alien abduction horror Fried Barry gets a trailer ahead of Shudder premiere

April 16, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Shudder has released a trailer for the sci-fi horror Fried Barry ahead of its premiere on the streaming service this May.

Based on writer-director Ryan Kruger’s acclaimed 2017 short of the same name, the film stars Gary Green as Barry, a drug-addled deadbeat who is abducted by aliens that assume control of his body, taking it for a joyride through Cape Town; check out the trailer below, along with the poster and official promotional images…

Fried Barry follows the story of a drug-addled degenerate who, after yet another bender, gets abducted by aliens. Barry takes a backseat as his alien visitor assumes control of his body and takes it for a joyride through Cape Town. What follows is an onslaught of drugs, sex and violence as Barry’s alien tourist enters the weird and wonderful world of humankind.

Fried Barry is set to premiere on Shudder on May 7th.
