With cameras now officially rolling on Dune: Part Two, Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Entertainment have unveiled an official synopsis for the concluding chapter of Denis Villenueve’s Frank Herbert adaptation.
The synopsis for the follow-up to last year’s acclaimed opening instalment reads:
“This follow-up film will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.”

Timothee Chalamet reprises role of Paul Atreides, and he is joined by fellow Dune returnees Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Charlotte Rampling and Stephen McKinley Henderson.
Also officially confirmed as joining the saga are Christopher Walken (Pulp Fiction) as Emperor Shaddam IV, Florence Pugh (Black Widow) as Princess Irulan, Austin Butler (Elvis) as Feyd-Rautha, Léa Seydoux (Crimes of the Future) as Lady Margot, and Souheila Yacoub (A Brighter Tomorrow) as Shishakli.

Dune: Part Two is set to shoot on location in Budapest, Abu Dhabi, Jordan and Italy ahead of its planned release date of November 17th 2023.
