Entertainment Weekly has revealed that Edgar Ramirez (Joy) and Darren Criss (Glee) have signed on to headline the Versace season of Ryan Murphy’s anthology series American Crime Story.
Ramirez will play celebrated fashion designer Gianni Versace, with Criss as Andrew Cunanan, the serial killer responsible for murdering at least five people including Versace, who was murdered outside of his Miami home in 1997.
Versace will be the third season of American Crime Story after last year’s The People v. O.J. Simpson and the upcoming Katrina, which has recently cast Annette Bening. A fourth season is also in the works and will tackle the Bill Clinton / Monica Lewinsky sex scandal.
