Elizabeth Banks to play Rita Repulsa in Power Rangers

Lionsgate has found its villain for the Power Rangers movie, with Elizabeth Banks signing on to play the alien sorceress Rita Repulsa in the upcoming big screen reboot.

Power Rangers is being directed by Dean Israelite, and is set to star Becky G as the Yellow Ranger, Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger, Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger, Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger and R.J. Cyler as the Blue Ranger.

Having been pushed back on several occasions, the film is now slated to arrive in cinemas on March 24th 2017.
