Elliot Page, who plays Vanya Hargreeves in the superhero series, has confirmed that the third season of Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy has officially begun filming.
Taking to Instagram, Page shared a photo which appears to have been taken on the set of the third season, captioning it with, “Omg we’re back again.” The picture showcases a close-up shot of a chair with the new Umbrella Academy logo which combines the iconic umbrella with a sparrow perched on top.

Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy is set to focus on The Umbrella Academy taking on The Sparrow Academy after the dysfunctional family changed the future to prevent doomsday in 1963 – accidentally causing an alternate timeline. The Sparrow Academy is led by Ben, played by Justin H. Min, one of the original members of the Umbrella Academy who died when he was young.
The upcoming season will feature newcomers Justin Cornwell, Britne Oldford, Jake Epstein, Genesis Rodriguez, and Cazzie David as The Sparrow Academy alongside returning stars Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, David Castaneda, Aidan Gallagher and Colm Feore.
