Ethan Coen, one half of the iconic Coen Brothers filmmaking duo, is moving into his own space as a creator. His next stop on that journey is an upcoming new film, Drive-Away Dolls.
The film is helmed by Ethan Coen, with a script by Coen and Tricia Cooke. It will follow an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee that turns into comedic hijinks. The film stars Margaret Qualley, Geraldine Viswanathan, and Beanie Feldstein, with Pedro Pascal and Matt Damon in supporting roles.
This marks Ethan’s first solo feature film outing, following brother Joel’s turn with 2021’s The Tragedy of Macbeth. The last film the pair made as a team was Netflix’s The Ballad of Buster Scruggs in 2018. Check out the trailer below…
The film stars Margaret Qualley, Geraldine Viswanathan, Beanie Feldstein, Colman Domingo, Pedro Pascal, Bill Camp, and Matt Damon.
This comedy caper follows Jamie, an uninhibited free spirit bemoaning yet another breakup with a girlfriend and her demure friend Marian who desperately needs to loosen up. In search of a fresh start, the two embark on an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee, but things quickly go awry when they cross paths with a group of inept criminals along the way.
Drive-Away Dolls will release in theaters nationwide on September 22nd.
