Ethan Hawke remembers Robin Williams and Philip Seymour Hoffman

In 2014, two acting legends passed away which struck the film community, and indeed the world as a whole, profoundly. In February, we lost Philip Seymour Hoffman and then in August, Robin Williams died at his home. Two massive Hollywood stars who had a huge impact on many peoples lives, both within the film industry and out.

Whilst promoting Boyhood on The Charlie Rose Show in the US, Ethan Hawke spoke about his experience working with both actors, with Williams on 1989’s Dead Poets Society, and later with Hoffman on 2007 film Before The Devil Knows You’re Dead. Hawke is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for Boyhood at this year’s Academy Awards, which air next Sunday, February 22nd.
