Deadline is reporting that Eva Green is in talks to join the cast of Disney’s live-action Dumbo movie, which would reunite her with Dark Shadows and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children director Tim Burton.
According to the site, Green is being eyed for one of the three main adult roles in the film. As yet, there’s been no official casting, although Tom Hanks and Will Smith were linked to the project (Smith reportedly failed to reach a deal due to scheduling conflicts).
Dumbo has been written by Ehren Kruger (Transformers: Age of Extinction), who also produces alongside Justin Springer (TRON: Legacy). It joins an ever-growing list of remakes from Disney, the next of which, Beauty and the Beast, opens this month. Read our review here.
