Ewan McGregor, the star of Disney+’s Obi-Wan Kenobi series, says the show will look at the trauma the character suffers resulting from the fall of the Jedi.
There is no question that Obi-Wan Kenobi has been through a lot, especially when we find him during his time watching over Luke. Not only has the Jedi Order been destroyed but it was his apprentice and friend that did it.
This makes the upcoming Obi-Wan Disney+ series very intriguing and the good news is that Ewan McGregor has suggested that the show will delve into this trauma. Speaking to Men’s Journal, the actor said:
“The storyline sits between Episode III and Episode IV. The Jedi Order was falling apart [at the end of Revenge of the Sith]. It will be interesting to take a character we know in a way and show him – Well, his arc will be quite interesting, I think, dealing with that the fact that all the Jedi were slaughtered with the end of Episode III. It’s quite something to get over.”

Seeing the pain Obi-Wan is going through during this period could make for some great TV. We will have to wait a little while, however, to exactly what the show will entail.
