Exclusive Interview – Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore talk May December and playing bad people

November 18, 2023 by EJ Moreno

EJ Moreno sits down with the stars of May December…

The question is posed in Todd Haynes’ May December about actors playing bad people, so our host, EJ Moreno, discusses that topic and more in a new interview with the stars: Natalie Portman & Julianne Moore.

The actresses speak to balancing the tone of this deliciously dark comedy and what they find in common with their complex characters.

Check out the interview below and be sure to follow us on YouTube for more reviews, exclusive interviews, and other video content…

Todd Haynes directs May December, starring Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore with Charles Melton.

In May December, “Portman plays TV star Elizabeth, who is researching a new part by ingratiating herself into the lives of Gracie (Moore), whom she’ll be playing onscreen, and her much younger husband, Joe (Charles Melton). As Elizabeth attempts to get closer to the family, the uncomfortable facts of their scandal unfurl, causing difficult, long-dormant emotions to resurface.”

May December is written by Samy Burch and is produced by Will Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum for Gloria Sanchez, Killer Films’ Christine Vachon and Pam Koffler, and Portman and Sophie Mas.

Netflix’s May December is playing in select theaters now and will premiere on the streamer on December 1st.
